Album Builder, Album DS or...?

Do you know professional 'album maker softwares'?
Looking on the web I found two examples:

    http://www.fundysos.com/album-builder/
    http://www.albumds.com/site/

Are there other (better) choices? Are these softwares unnecessary? what do you suggest?

    thanks

I have been using Lumipix Fotofusion for the past 4 years:

I started designing albums with Photoshop then found Fotofusion. I can design an album 3x faster than using Photoshop. Download the demos of the various album software and see if they fit your needs.

    Hi Alberto,

Fundys seems to be very popular, I used to used PS templates, never was interested in any album software, as I tried Photojunction and it was not my cup of tea [for ME] then I discovered Fundys Album Builder, which ironically enough I purchased 2 weeks ago, but did not install as I saw a new version coming out, v3.8, which was released yesterday, so still to install and test.

Look at all the videos on the site regarding it. Simply amazing possibilities, as some of the features would be impossible to live without for me, plus creating it inside Photoshop to me is a *bonus*. Then being able to 'split' a spread into 14x11s or whatever size you wanted, which saves on printing costs. Plus you can save the PSDs, etc.

It will be approx. 2 weeks before I can fully test it, but going on the 16+ videos I watched, seems a no-brainer to me.

As bobh665 says, you need to view all the information you can gleen from websites and try them.

    I use Lumapix Fotofusion exclusively.
I haven't seen any software that can touch it for speed and flexibility.

I am planning to get zenfolio web services, I know Lumapix Fotofusion is different however, with the former do I really need the latter? I am just starting my business formally this year.

I visited the Lumapix website and forum. There seemed to be alot of dissatisfaction with the Mac version of the s/w. The developers have acknowledged problems and indicated they are working on solutions. What's the consensus of Mac users on this forum? Thanks, Richard

I was excited to have the Mac version of Fotofusion, but some of the controls are now different than the Windows version. (I run Parallels on my Mac so I can have Windows software.)

One of the things which are different ... with the Windows version, I can drag images right from an image browser window (like Bridge) into Fotofusion and drop the images on the pages.
